Info

Carbon tetrachloride is a clear, colorless, non-flammable, halogenated, organic liquid with a distinctive odor that evaporates easily. It is also called carbon chloride, methane tetrachloride, perchloromethane, tetrachloroethane, or benziform. It is toxic when absorbed through the skin or when inhaled. Exposure to this substance results mostly from breathing air, drinking water, or coming in contact with soil that is contaminated with it. Exposure to very high amounts of carbon tetrachloride can damage the liver, kidneys, and nervous system.

  1. The appearance of this blog is very well done. It is easy to follow because there are different posts for different topics. The molecules accuracy is correct and it is a non-polar molecule as you said. The only force that can be used for this molecule is London Dispersion. This is because the compound is non-polar. The ad is very appealing to people who have problems with bugs. Overall great job!

  2. I like the way you organized the blog, and made all of the different sections. It made it easy to read and was neatly done. The molecule is accurate and I agree that it is an AX4, good job. The compound is also correctly determined to be non-polar because again due to the symmetry shown between the atoms. I also have to concur with the point that the molecule only shares London Dispersion Forces. Finally, i enjoyed the advertisement because it was clever, unique and eye-opening.
